The Varsity boys high school football team earned another win making them 2-0 on the season. On Thursday, the Leopards traveled to Fort Worth to take on the FW-Southwest Raiders. Defensively, Gainesville held the Raiders to the fewest points allowed in recent history. Team totals of 65 tackles and 5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries. Defensive back, Draike Sparks, added an interception.

The Gainesville offense used a heavy running attack that never slowed down. Offensive lineman (Jesse Coffey, Gavin Emerson, Landon Prestage, Johan Delarosa, Tin Le) led the way with excellent blocking all night long. Various running backs (Brandon Baker, CJ Feagins, Isaiah Gipson, Tony Ochoa) combined to power the Leopards way to victory.

Special Teams added to the victory with multiple successful PAT attempts, and great execution by the punting unit, led by punter, Jamie Guerrero, who averaged 30 yards on three well placed punts.

Congratulations to #20 Brandon Baker (offensive), #8 Mason Ford (defensive) and #44 Jaime Guerrero (special teams) for being selected the Gainesville Football Players of the Game.
