A walk-off left Gainesville Leopards Varsity on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Everman on Saturday. Everman trailed 7-6 in the bottom of the fifth inning when an error scored two runs for Everman.
Despite the loss, Gainesville Leopards Varsity did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Everman had five hits on the way to victory.
Everman captured the lead in the first inning when C. Murillo drew a walk, scoring one run.
I. Soto was credited with the victory for Everman. He went two and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits and walking zero.
Hunter Nichols took the loss for Gainesville Leopards Varsity. He allowed zero hits and zero runs walking zero.
