To support social distancing, the following adjustments have been made for pre-participation physical requirements for UIL participation for the 20-21 school year.
All students participating in UIL athletic activities and Band will be required to complete the UIL Medical History Form. Any “yes” answer to any of questions 1-6 on the Medical History Form will require a student to receive further medical evaluation, which may include a physical exam, and receive written clearance from a physician. Only those students with “yes” answers to those questions are required to receive written clearance through further medical evaluation.
Any participant in athletics who has not previously completed a Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation and been cleared for participation, will be required to complete the Medical History Form as noted above, as well as a physical prior to participation in any UIL practices, games, performances, or matches. Athletes will still be required to be at practice, but not able to participate until this is completed.
Incoming 7th graders and those who have not previously had a pre-participation physical will be required to get one done before they will be allowed to practice or compete.
Please direct any questions or concerns to our Athletic Trainers Zen Morgan, firstname.lastname@example.org Kimberly Casper, email@example.com
We will attempt to host a free physical day towards the end of July, depending on current gathering recommendations. If you are able to get one completed before then please do.
