The project, which officially broke ground on January 12, includes 61,000 of new and renovated space. The total project includes 50,000 square feet of new construction and the renovation of the previous 11,000 sf field house, which were connected to create the 61,000 sf Multi-Purpose Facility.
The new construction includes a 40,000 sf open and flexible space for indoor student activities, 5,000 sf weight room, offices, restrooms, support spaces and storage. The facility will not only benefit the students at GHS, but is an asset to the entire community of Gainesville.
